This book proves that students CAN take charge. A fifth grader, Nora, is an above-average student, who acts like she is an average student. In kindergarten, she did unusual things, such as hide under tables and make funny cat noises. This book will empower students to take charge, even if adults don't agree with what they are doing.

What does the future hold?
One of my favorite novels, The Giver, by Lois Lowry, takes the reader into the future, which seems well structured, but in essence it is totally damaging. In this society everything is the same, people display no feeling of emotion, and couples are only aloud to have 2 children, one boy and one girl. As for a future career, well lets just say they choose one for you. This book keeps readers on their feet. THIS NOVEL IS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT DOWN.
